Study Objectives / Outcomes
The first objective of this study is to conduct three 24-hour dietary recalls in 160 adolescent MATCh participants and 999 adult participants from the Mano a Mano Cohort Study. We are interested in determining whether Mexican American adolescents and adults are willing to participate in this type of research. We are also interested in evaluating the participants' food records by calculating: unit or item non-response; outliers for energy intake; and the association between energy intake and body mass index. Urine samples will be collected to analyze nutrients.

Inclusion Criteria:1) Must be enrolled in protocol 2004-0616 "Behavioral, Contextual and Genetic Predictors of Smoking in Mexican-American Youth", CPN00-367 "Mexican-American Cohort: A Feasibility Study of Recruitment Methods for a Long-Term Prospective Cohort Study in Texas", or 2009-0379 "Mexican American Cohort Study".
