The goal of this clinical research study is to test a new way to look for
cancer and pre-cancerous tissue changes inside the mouth.

Study Objectives / Outcomes
The overall objective of this study is to obtain background data on the native tissue autoflourescence of oral mucosa in the normal population using fluorescence and reflectance spectroscopy.

Inclusion Criteria:1) Family members accompany patients and staff at the UTMDACC clinics

Exclusion Criteria:1) Persons with previous SCCs of the oral cavity, radiation therapy to the head and neck region, chemotherapy within the previous six months use of smokeless tobacco, or current oral cavity lesions will be excluded.
