Description/
Intervention:
The goal of this clinical research study is to evaluate the use of the
Sequential Organ Failure Assessment (SOFA) Score in critically ill cancer
patients.
.
Study Objectives / Outcomes
1. To evaluate the ability of the Sequential Organ Failure Assessment (SOFA) Score to reliably describe organ function/failure in a cohort of critically ill cancer patients.
2. To determine if the SOFA score and its components accurately predict survival in cancer patients admitted to the intensive care unit (ICU).
3. To improve predictions of survival of critically ill cancer patients by modifying the SOFA score using a multivariate proportional hazards survival model.
