Inclusion Criteria:Biopsy proven GBMs previously treated for their disease. Only histological Dx by MDACC pathologists accepted. Clincial/imaging diagnosis prior to MDACC Sx can enroll but will be excluded if samples do not show GBM.

Pt must have MRI scan with and without contrast within 3 wks of study entry.

Pts must be >/= 18 yrs of age.

Surgically accessible tumor for which resection is indicated at baseline eval. Decision that tumor can be resected to be made by neurosurgeon.

Pts must be eligible for surgery.

Signed informed consent.

Women and minorities will be included. Males and females recur with no preference to gender.

Exclusion Criteria:Radiographic evidence of leptomeningeal disease.

Other concomitant intracranial pathology.

No exclusion to this study will be based on race. Minorities will actively be recruited to participate.

Radiographic evidence of multifocal lesions in the brain.

Pts who have had an open biopsy for resection of their brain tumor and have not received chemotherapies or radiation treatment.

Inability to complete baseline study forms as determined by the research nurse in consultation with the neurosurgeon based on the patient's physican and/or nuerological baseline deficits.

Pts who have undergone 3 resections are not eligible.
