Description/
Intervention:		The goal of this clinical research study is to compare the quality of life in
patients who are having partial kidney procedure to the quality of life in
patients who are having radical kidney surgery for the treatment of renal cell
carcinoma.

Study Objectives / Outcomes
To measure health-related quality of life in patients undergoing nephron-sparing curative treatment for low-stage renal cell carcinoma and compare to the quality of life of patients undergoing open or laparoscopic radical nephrectomy for low-stage renal cell carcinoma.

Inclusion Criteria:1) Any M. D. Anderson Cancer Center patient scheduled for curative treatment with suspected renal cell carcinoma (low-stage disease)

2) Age greater than 18 years

3) Absence of serious intercurrent illness or patients in a debilitated state

4) English speaking subjects
Exclusion Criteria:1) Non-English speaking subjects
