Research Interests:
Biology and natural history of and therapy for human leukemia

Research Summary:
My research focuses on studying the natural history of leukemia and evaluating therapies for the disease. I interact closely with my colleagues in the Department of Leukemia. I also collaborate with the Department of Hematopathology and faculty in the Department of Laboratory Medicine in assessing clinical pathologic findings of leukemia and studying leukocyte transfusion therapy for severe antibiotic resistant infection.

As Director of Special Medical Education Programs, I organize and supervise weekly Institutional Grand Rounds "Advances in Oncology," a weekly Core Curriculum course for all graduate medical trainees, and a Graduate Medical School curriculum for training in "Patient-Oriented Research," leading to M.S. and Ph.D. degrees.
